Digital perfection

Wadia introduced the first external D/A converter back in 1988 and has since dedicated themselves to high performance digital audio reproduction.

Indeed, Wadia through the years had very unorthodox approaches to digital audio that have stood up to the test of time, with Wadia digital products garnering accolades from audiophiles and critics alike, year after year; generation after generation. They are, however assaults to the state of the art and affordable only to a lucky few.

Last year Wadia had a surprise for everyone with the affordable 170 iTransport which is the first ever device that can extract digital audio from the ubiquitous iPod. All of a sudden - the iPod can actually sound good in a high end system, with the help of the 170i and any decent external D/A converter.

This year, the 170i’s partner in crime is coming: the 151 Power Dac Mini which is an external D/A converter and amplifier in one little box. The once bulky system can be reduced to a 151 hooked up to a PC via USB and a pair of speakers!
